After months of speculation, Apple has finally announced the Apple Watch Series 8.
As such, the new Apple Watch Series 8 won’t have too many design changes, with dimensions of 41nm and 45nm and the Always-on display feature that appeared in previous generations.
The biggest new addition to the Apple Watch Series 8 is a sensor that helps measure body temperature
with two temperature sensors – one on the bottom and one on the screen,
Apple Watch Series 8 can help monitor women’s health and track menstrual cycles on a monthly basis.
In addition, Apple Watch Series 8 can detect car crashes, as well as various collisions to notify the user’s loved ones.
Another big upgrade is that the Apple Watch Series 8 now has up to 18 hours of battery life,
Enough for users to use for a whole day. Apple has also added new Low Power Modes that give Apple Watch Series 8 up to 36 hours of use.
Unlike previous years, the Apple Watch Series 8 will come in two different finishes, aluminum and stainless steel.
These are the colors Apple revealed:
- Aluminum versions: midnight, starlight, silver and (Product) Red.
- Stainless steel versions: silver, gold, and graphite.
The size of the watch face is the same, large and close to the edge.

2 brand new body temperature sensors: 1 sensor on the bottom, 1 sensor on the surface, will continuously measure body temperature with a sensitivity of 0.1 degrees Celsius
The temperature sensor along with the heart rate sensor and the first time cycle data will help give more accurate cycle predictions
