We take a lot of screenshots every day for business purposes. And, the most annoying part about it is not the sheer number of photos but the sound that the phone creates during the process. Now, the custom interface provides many customizations and most can have the option to turn off screen capture sounds in settings. That is not the case with Android Stock. The worse thing is that the sound cannot be turned off even when the phone is set to silent or vibrate mode. The problem is, the storage device does not offer this sound off option. Turn off the screen capture sound on Android phones

1. Use Google Assistant to take screenshots
Google Assistant is the most useful thing you can have on Android phones in 2018. It has come a long way and has become an important part of Android. Although we have shared a lot of tips about Google Assistant over time, there are many new things that we continue to learn about it even today.
Now, you have to know that you can use voice commands and make screen capture assistants. But, one thing you may not realize is that when you use an assistant for screen capture purposes, it doesn’t make any sound. Whether your phone is in silent or ringing mode, you will not hear the sound of screenshots through this method.
Although it looks good, screenshots taken via Google Assistant will not be saved in the library by default. When the screenshot is taken, you will see a popup menu shared on the screen and you will have to use it to save screenshots on Google Photos or Google drive or any other cloud storage option.
2. Use third party applications
Due to the problem mentioned above, some may not like to use Google’s assistant to take screenshots. Yes, such people can use third-party applications. And, what I’m using in the last few months is called Touchscreen.
It is actually quite easy to use Screenshot touch. When you install the application and open the application for the first time, you will have to allow the application to access the phone’s memory to save the screenshot directly to the library. Next, click “Start capture monitoring services” at the top. Now, it will start capturing everything on your screen like a screen recorder application.
However, the only difference is that it does not record and save all your activities on your phone, instead it gives you full control over the process. When enabled, you will see the camera icon floating on the screen. Whenever you want to take a screenshot, tap it and the app takes a screenshot without making any sound. When you’re done, turn off the app’s screen capture service.
Touch screen shots provide some basic options like changing saved paths, changing image formats and quality, etc.
